Is dying hair safe in pregnancy?

Hi, my sister is 34 years old and she is pregnant for two months already. She would like to change color of her hair but we are not sure if dying hair is safe in pregnancy. Some people say it is while the other says that chemicals may be dangerous for a baby. Did someone have similar experience?

Hi, even doctors are divided on this topic. Theory is that chemicals from hair colors may be absorbed over the scalp and that may cause problems for the baby. If you don't want to think about it I would suggest you to wait until three months of her pregnancy pass and all baby's organs are formed. Also you may highlight your hair and it is even safer as you don't put color on the scalp but only to the strands.
