Is early onset dementia rare type of this disease?

Hello, my father has been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease; he passed away two years ago. I am pregnant now, and I would like to know something more about those dementia conditions. It started slowly with my father and progressed within years, in spite of medication. Is early onset dementia rare type of this disease?

Unfortunately, these types of illnesses can happen in people under the age of 65. Even though it is still early, you might do some tests to determine if there is a possibility of getting affected by mental condition. This goes for both you and your baby. I think that you should not worry for now, it is still very early.
