Is epilepsy a disability ??

I have recently been told i have developed temperol lobe epilepsy. i am 28 years old, and in the army, can this happen at any age ?? Also is it classed as a disability? As my insurance company tells me it is not, and i have no claim. could you please e-mail your answers to the address above. thanks. Martin
