Is good ventolin, for asthma infantil?

My son is only tree months old and he is already sick. He was diagnosed with infantile asthma. He is put on Ventolin. Is Ventolin good, for infantile asthma? I heard that Ventolin is not good for the heart. I have no one to talk about this and I must ask some questions this way.

My first child was put on Ventolin before she was a year old. Now she is tree. Although there are some side effects of this medicine, I can say that Ventolin saved life to my daughter. She was suffocating every time she is having an attack. She is now fine and well. She is a little hyperactive and hers heart rate is increased after taking medication, but is can breathe.
