Is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy easy to diagnose?

Hello, I am 55 years old and I have been having some breathing difficulties and I feel tired all the time. Last time I have been to a doctor, he told me that it might be hypertrophic cardiomyopathy we are talking about and I would like to know is that condition easy to diagnose? What are the standard procedures for that?

There are several different procedures for diagnosing this condition. ECG might be performed, radiology method also, radio isotopic methods… First it is determined if there is cardiomyopathy and then the exact type of that illness. I guess you will have to wait until the tests are done and see what you can do.
