Hello, my mother is 70 years old and I would like to ask you something about her condition. She suffers from senile dementia; actually she has just been diagnosed. And as a part of the treatment, doctor suggested some small simple tasks. Is it important to give activities for people with dementia?
I think that you have to be aware that senile dementia illness cannot be reverted, there is no improvement. Still, the progression is slowed down with medications and simple chores that patient do every day. But be aware they are not suitable for anything complex, or even simple, but new tasks. Their learning ability is also damaged.
