Is it possible that cromolyn sodium might have a role in the prevention of CLD?

Hello, I am 29 years old and I have delivered a baby two weeks ago. Unfortunately this happen before the right time. Complications occurred so the baby has to go out early. I am worried about her and I have heard that there is a possibility of lung disorders and respiratory distress syndrome. Is it possible that cromolyn sodium might have a role in the prevention of CLD (chronic lung disease)?

Cromolyn sodium is a medication used only for prevention. It stabilizes the cell membranes, which disables the possibility if inflammatory process mediators release. But, it did not act so well with early born babies. Theoretically, it should prevent those infections, but, for some reason, that simply does not happen often.

Is it possible that cromolyn sodium might have a role in the prevention of CLD?
