Is it really only possible to get pregnant 4 days out of a month?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and I read that the only times it's possible to get pregnant is about 2 weeks after your period starts...is this true???

That is true of your cycle is exactly 28 days long.

With a 28 day cycle, and DAY 1 is the day your period starts, you will ovulate on day 14. Since sperm can live inside of you for up to 5 days, you want to start having sex 5 days before you ovulate, and for up to 2 days after. The egg dies 48 hours after ovulation, so you have a short window you must gauge.
