Hello everyone! I am 23 weeks pregnant and suffer from arthritis in my left hip down to my knee. I was taking Naproxen that totally alleviated the pain. Now I take Tylenol (just 1 tablet) every day, through the night and I eventually wake up 5 to 6 hours later in pain. Is it safe to take Tylenol during pregnancy?
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is safe to use during pregnancy, but other pain relievers including aspirin and ibuprofen are not. However, be careful not to take more than the amount recommended on the outer label. Back pain during pregnancy probably is not a surprise, but that does not mean you should ignore it. If you notice anything unusual, please consult your obstetrician immediately.
