Is lupus nephritis more common in women?

Hello! My grandmother had lupus nephritis while she was alive. Regarding the fact that cause of autoimmune diseases is still unknown, I am concerned that lupus nephritis can be a hereditary disease. Also, I want to know following: is lupus nephritis more common in women? I have heard some stories, but I want to check this with you.

Hello! Statistics is saying that lupus nephritis is more common in women than in men. But, modern medicine does not why. Generally speaking, modern medicine still does not cause of autoimmune disease. There is still no cure for this kind of disease, too. Lupus nephritis is very complicate disease….
