I just got mine done on friday and its now tuesday and its sore still and has a small red bump infront of it that kinda looks like a blood blister....is it infected???? what should i do. and sometimes at night when i go to sleep it ends up bleeding......

I HAVE A SOLUTION
i have a solution THE SAME EXACT thing happened 2 me... All u have 2 do is (sounds crazy but get some sharp scissors and cut off the blister) u will not bleed (their will be like a dot of blood) & wash with listerine & it will be a very tiny red dot. THERE WILL NOT BE A HOLE THERE. I THOUGHT THE SAME TING BUT WHEN I DID IT NOTHING BAD HAPPENED rinse with mouthwash & thank me afterwards. PLZ TRUST ME U WONT REGRET IT... I WNT THROUGHT THE SAME THING & NOW MY TONGUE PIERCING LOOK PERFECT |

I got mine changed a week after i had it done. They said i could have it changed if the swelling had gone down enough.
Also if anyone is wondering why they have a white tongue, i got told it is because i was using too much sea salt in the water when i washed my mouth out and that i was doing it too often lol just wanted to be on the safe side lol
they said it kills the good bacteria on your tongue if you do it too much.
I had a major lisp when i got mine done lol everyone kept taking the mick lol
I have changed my tongue bar myself, even though it has only been three weeks since i had it done lol, and it doesn't even feel wierd lol I think i'm addicted to buying tongue bars though coz i have bought about 8 in 2 weeks lol oopsy  |

| i just got mine done on wednesday and im scared its infected too..ive been using the H2Ocean mouthwash but i dont know if its working..cuz it has that ugly yellowish whitish stuff and eww..what to do?... |

I got my tongue pierced on Friday and today it's Tuesday. I have the same thing. A small red bump in front of it, but now it's sort of yellowish white, and yellowish stuff keeps coming out of the top. I don't know if it's infected. It's still swollen but it doesnt hurt anymore. Just the spot where the bump is.
so0 yeah did u find out if it's infected?? |

i got my tongue pierced on wednesday. it is saturday and its tender, theres yellow whitish puss coming out of both sides of the piercing. and my tongue looks like its got the chicken pox, there is small white dots everywhere, i have been cleaning the piercing regulary with diluted mouthwash or warm salt water. is there anything else i can do?

dont worry at all i got mine done same thing happened i went back to piercer he said everythings fine so dont worry everybody heals in a different way!! xxxxxxx |

| Hey i was just wondering how i could tellif im over cleaning my tongue piercing.. my piercer said that if my tongue turns white thanim over cleaning it but the problem is she told me to rinse my mouth put with medical grade mouth wash about 30 times aday well im doinghalf that and my tongue still turned white... any answers? thanks |

| I had mine pierced about a week and a half ago. I also got a little bump in front of the piercing after a couple days. It looked sort of like a tiny blood blister like several other posts said. It started red and then got really dark, and then started to turn yellowish white over several days. I asked my piercer about it, and he said it's sort of like your tongue's version of scabbing, and that it would either go away or dry up and fall off in a couple days. Sure enough, the next day, it had sort of hardened and ended up falling off. No bumps after that. Just like you shouldn't pick scabs though, I would definitely not recommend cutting it off or messing with it in any way. If it doesn't go away after several days, it might be something else and you should get it looked at. As far as white and yellow stuff oozing out of the piercing, that seems to be pretty common for these piercings. My piercer told me it would happen and said it's just lymph material or something left over from the healing process. All that said, your mouth is really good at fighting infection, so it's pretty unlikely that it is infected. Tongue piercings do a lot of weird things as they heal, being in your mouth they can't scab the same way. My advice would be wait several more days, but if whatever problem doesn't go away or gets a lot worse, get it checked out. |
