Is nitrogen mustard therapy a treatment only for early stage disease?

My husband has cutaneous T-cell lymphoma type of cancer. They say that it is one of the most prevalent types of cancer in the USA. I have heard that mustard therapy is one of the best treatments for slowing the disease. But my husband is not in early stage of disease. Is nitrogen mustard therapy a treatment only for early stage disease?

My brother has the same type of cancer and he is taking mustard therapy, and it is rather efficient. But he had start using it in early stages of disease and he is taking it for two years now. It has induced remission that is especially noticeable in his skin stages. I know that mustard therapy is more effective in early stages but I dont see why you cant use it later on.
