Is plaque related to clodged arteries?

Hello! My father is suffering from clodged arteries. Yesterday he mentioned some surgical procedure and removing plaque. I have asked him about this, but he did not want to tell me anything. So, I am wondering now if it is plaque related to clodged arteries or not. Thank you in advance!

Hello! Cause of clogged arteries is plaque. Plaque is developed because of bad fats (cholesterol). O, to improve patient condition, cardiologists in some cases recommend and do angioplasty. Angioplasty is surgical method for removing plaque from arteries. I hope my answer helped you and clarified some things regarding this question!
