Is promethazine/codeine, Tylenol?

I have a cold. My nose is red, full and I can't breathe thru him. It is the case with the rest of my respiratory system. Also I have a fever. I am not sure what should I do. It lasts for a few days and I am not sure will it stop. Some people recommend me to take promethazine/codeine and other to take Tylenol. My sister tells me that it is the same stuff. Is it really the same?

No, it is not the same. But both of those medications you can use. Promethazine/codeine syrup will help you to resolve problems with cough and other upper respiratory symptoms. On the other hand Tylenol is analgesic and antipyretic and he will help you in lowering your fewer and to decrease pain.
