Is suppressed appetite symptom of meth dependance?

I would like to know a few facts about meth dependence. It looks like a friend of mine has been using it for quite q while and it looks like he completely lost his appetite. Honestly, he lost a lot of weight and I am worried for him, because he never let any drug take control over him before.

Well, severe weight loss unfortunately is one of the symptoms of the long term use of meth. And you can probably notice signs like grinding teeth, even hallucinations (both audio and visual), sleeplessness, sometimes paranoia and acting aggressively. I hope that at one point he will start to get off meth and sadly that is one more hell he will have to go through.
