Unfortunately, his condition is not something that can be dealt with non pharmacological measures. Actually, an operation is required and that procedure will remove damaged valvula with artificial one and with that he can lead a normal life. This is a better solution than to take medications for the rest of his life.

Well, it is one of the solutions, and it is one that might relieve you of all your problems. It is possible that one of your valvulas has to be replaced with artificial one and that is something that will make you stop using your medication. Those meds can deal only with the symptoms anyway, they cannot heal you completely.
