Hello, I would like to ask you something about my kid’s condition. He is only 2 weeks old but it seems that he has a problem with his testicle. The right one isn’t there or I should say that it did not descend! And I heard there might be some further complications because of this. Is the incidence of horseshoe kidney related to the undescended testicles?

Well, it is not something that is not treatable, that is certain. And in extreme cases, surgery might be performed. But, as far as horseshoe kidney is concerned, there might be some increased possibility for that to happen. That is something that can be checked easily. If it really is the case, there is not much anyone can do, only deal with the symptoms, if they occur at all.
