Is there a cure for chornic bronchitis?

Hi! My friend is a passionate smoker for twenty years now and has developed chronic bronchitis with which he lives pretending that it is nothing. This condition did not persuade him to quit smoking but I intend to help him find a relief for his cough. Is there a cure for chronic bronchitis?

I must disappoint you but there is no cure for chronic bronchitis. Any damage to the lungs is irreversible but it would be wise to persuade your friend to stop smoking and avoid dusty and smoky environment. There are also a few practical steps: sleep in a warm bedroom, try inhalation and use cough suppressant medicines.
