Good evening! I have cholesterol npolyps in my galbladder. I would like to know if there are other alternative solutions for this problem except for removing my gallbladder. pls. help. Question

You didn't say how big the polyps were and if gallstones were present as well but as far as I know the gallbladder removal is the effective way of removing the polyps. I have never heard of another way.

If your doctor suggested removal, it probably means that they are bigger than 10 mm and that there are stones present as well. Cholesterol gallstones and polyps are both present in 50-70% of the time.

If polyps are smaller than 10 mm and there are no stones, they are usually watched. However, it is essential that you work with your doctor or even get a second opinion and see your options.
