Is this lump on my gums caused by an abscess?

Hi! I have a problem. I have a lump on my gum. It appeared two weeks ago. First it wasn’t painful but now I can feel very mild but constant pain. My mother thinks it’s a tooth abscess. I’m afraid to go to dentist. Is this lump on my gums caused by an abscess?

I’m sorry but I need to tell you that you must go to dentist. I think that your mother has right. It’s probably a tooth abscess. You should know that it’s very dangerous to let abscess be untreated. You can get some serious infection. So, be brave and go to dentist as soon as you can. Good luck!
