I would like to someone clear up some things for me. I am diagnosed with anemia two months ago. I had felt very strange before the diagnosis. I was always tired even when I did not work anything demanding or hard. I still feel some periods of tiredness from time to time. Is tiredness caused by anemia?

There is connection between anemia and tiredness. Anemia is condition in which levels of the red blood cells are reduced. Since the red blood cells, also known as hemoglobin, are carriers of oxygen in the blood from the lungs to other parts of the body it means that the body cells do not have enough energy. Oxygen is crucial energy-giving nutrition for all cells. All this is leading to conclusion that anemia have a great influence to tiredness.
