Is vegetarian diet ok for children to use it?

My wife decided to change the cooking style by turning to vegetarianism. I’m ok with it, because I used to be vegetarian when studying and was feeling energetic and healthy, so I’m aware of benefits it brings but with kids we have, I’m not so sure. Is vegetarian diet ok for children to use it?

I know that your major worry is about the nutrients children need when growing up and if the vegetarian diet can provide it for them. This diet includes not only adequate nutrients for growth, but an appropriate level of caloric intake. The vegetarians eat fruits, vegetables, and starchy foods much more frequently than the nonvegetarians and also, much less junk food.
