Is vitiligo contageous?

You should know that there are many methods of dealing with this condition but most of them include cosmetic preparations for covering the lighter areas of the skin. There is laser treatment, there are even some meds, but so far, as far as I know, there was nothing 100% efficient. Either it does not cover the light areas completely or it does but only for a certain period of time.

Not at all. Even though the exact mechanism of vitiligo occurring is not yet determined (we know that it is related to inflammatory, autoimmune and thyroid problem conditions), it is not contagious. I think you already knew that, but just needed a confirmation. So, your daughter will be just fine, you don’t have anything to worry about.
