Is withdrawal method effective?

Hello! My friend’s older brother has a problem with narcotics. He is addicted. But, he decided to try withdrawal method. My friend is happy and scared in same time because of his decision. She (and I, too) would like to know how effective withdrawal method is. I hope you will know. Thank you!

Hello! This is hard question. First of all, her brother needs to will to quit with narcotics. So, I assume he will stay in some appropriate institution. He will pass crisis with help of medical staff and he will be healed. But, only depends on him will he return to usage of narcotics or not. Hope this helps you!
