I have the same exact problem! After reading these posts I am almost positive that anal fissure is the culprit for me. I have had these symptoms in the past when I am sure it wasn't a fissure.
I have used Desitin, Balmex, neosporin plus pain relief, numerous hemorroid creams and ointments, tucks pads, baby wipes, anti-fungal creams, and Crisco.
The itching started for me during my first pregnancy. My OB/GYN suggested that I try the Crisco. I thought he was nuts but I tried it anyway and it worked!
This time it is not working and I am sure that it must be an anal fissure. I would be glad to try the glycerin ointment but where do I get it? |
