Hi, I need some advice. I am not a great admirer of martial arts but my kid is. He is 7 years old and they have some proposal for karate trainings in his elementary school. As I said I dont know much about it so I would like to know what is the best for him to teach karate or something else?

There are numerous martial arts and all of them have advantages and disadvantages. Karate will teach him how to fall without injury and how to drop someone. It is discipline with a lot of body contact. Also it is more for training will and motivation then it has some practical use. At least that is my opinion. He will teach not to go around and hit people but to defend himself.
