I know that contraceptives (oral, patch or any other based on hormones) are notorious for their side effects, but, to be honest, I do not have problems with Kariva. My first contraceptive was patch, and it was horrible, my periods were so irregular and I suffered from headaches. Then my gynaecologist prescribed Kariva and I’ve been using it for more than three years. At firs I was experiencing mild discomfort, nausea and occasional vomiting, but it was all during the first five months. My doctor told me that the period of adaptation of your organism to the oral contraceptive is inevitable and he was right. Everything has just been going perfect since those first five months. And bonus for my skin - my face became much clearer, only sporadic appearance of spots on my back (my back was very problematic, and I think it even got worse while I used patch) and my legs are less hairy (I suppose that comes from Kariva, too). So my advice is to try it out. If it doesn’t work you can easily switch to something else.
