We have just returned from the doctor where our kid has been diagnosed with color blindness. He is 5 years old and we have noticed that he only recognizes few colors and that he is having problems with red and green. Doctor mentioned that there is no cure for this but I am refusing to believe in that. Is there anything we can do?
Unfortunately, all you can do is give him your love and support and teach him how to live with that kind of condition. And seriously, this is not such a tragic condition, he will have a normal life, he will only have difficulties in recognizing some colors. It is a genetic illness, although it might happen as the result of some other eye problem.
