I know that Klinefelter syndrome is when male have excess women sex chromosome. I know it because first time when I saw picture of this case I was laughing. Then my mother told me it is serious disease and I should not react this way. However, I think people cannot react right way if they do not know anything about this kind of a disease. That is why, I want you to tell me, and to everyone, what is problem with Klinefelter syndrome.

Problem with Klinefelter syndrome is XXY chromosome structure, which is causing problems in these patients. They experience gynecomastia, small testes, infertility and sometimes it could lead to mental disorder. Beside this, I want to tell you that gonadal development is particularly susceptible to each additional X chromosome. This is resulting in seminiferous tubule dysgenesis and infertility as well as hypoplastic and malformed genitalia in polysomy X males. Moreover, mental capacity diminishes with additional X chromosomes as I already told you. That is why the intelligence quotient (IQ) is reduced by approximately 15 points for each supernumerary X chromosome. However, conclusions about reduced mental capacity must be drawn cautiously. Important is that all major areas of development, including expressive and receptive language and coordination, are affected by extra X chromosome material. I will say it again that the major consequences are hypogonadism, gynecomastia, and psychosocial problems. Klinefelter syndrome is a form of primary testicular failure, with elevated gonadotropin levels arising from lack of feedback inhibition by the pituitary gland, where is the biggest problem.
