Hello! My Pap-test said I’m in risk of getting a cervical cancer one day. And in order to avoid it I’m scheduled for a leep procedure in a few days. I’d like to hear of some leep problems post op and of some leep side effects. Thanks
Trust me it’s not a big deal this leep procedure. You won’t be having any specific problems post op just some unpleasant experiences. This is non invasive painless procedure that will take away abnormal tissue from your cervix uterus or even a cervix canal. Yes it’s that much precise and effective too. And you won’t feel no pain afterwards neither, or if so it might be just a “dash” of a pain that won’t last longer than a day. It usually is so. And as for the unpleasant conditions you better get ready for a specific odor that you’ll probably hate but it won’t last long by the time you should avoid tampons, so you’ll be using sanitary pads. Also avoid having sex in a next few weeks as heavy exercise. And for the side effects… well if you’ve planned pregnancy don’t worry for the leep won’t cause any pregnancy loss or infertility. Well it may affect a faster and somewhat easier labour afterwards which is not bad as far as I’m concerned.

I had leep done recently and I was fine for a week, hardly any discharge and no pain. Then a started to bleed. I have been bleeding for about 10 days now and have consulted my GP and The Gynecology dept at the hospital and have been advised by both that it sounds like I'm just taking slightly longer than normal to heal. I haven't got any fever or pains and the bleeding is not heavy, it's mainly noticable when I go to the loo. Fingers crossed it'll start to tail off soon and I'll be on the mend. Has anyone else incurred this type of reaction ?
