MY FATHER HAD HIS PROSTATE REMOVED BACK IN 96. HIS PSA IS NOW 4.69 AND THEY SAY THE CANCER HAS SPREAD. WHAT IS THE NORMAL LIFE EXPECTANCY WHEN THIS OCCURS?

Hi,
Sorry about your Dad's cancer spreading. LIFE EXPECTANCY depends on where it spread and how badly. My Dad had his prostate removed in 1994. In February of 2007 his psa was up for the third time.....the second time was in 2004 and he was placed on hormone therapy.
In February of 2007 they gave him a year to live....it had spread to mos of his bones. However....he is still here with us.
I guess I am trying to say.....don't go too much on the life expectancy. One day at a time:)
