Posted: 07/20/05 - 02:00 Post subject: Laporoscopy Or Hysterectomy? |
Hi all. I am 29 and have been fighting endometriosis for almost 3 years. Anyway, I had a diagnostic laporoscopy and my doc said if it returned it would be at least a year after that.. But, it has been only 7! Anyway, during the last 2 years, I've been having very bad pain again. So, I’ve been at the doc again and he explained me that I have only two possible solutions - laporoscopy or total hysterectomy. I’m really scared and really don’t know which one to have!! So, I would really appreciate any suggestions... Can anybody help me make up my mind?? Thank you!

Well, I’ve just had a partial hysterectomy due to the same problem. As, I still have my ovaries and cervix I’ve been told that I would not go into surgical menopause. And, so far, I had no problems - just a little sore from the surgery. Anyway, I had good experience... I really can’t tell you what to do, but I hope that my experience will help at least a bit... Good luck.
