Large tumor in nasal passage, impending surgery, endocronology?

I am to have surgery for removal of a large tumor in my right nasal passage on 9/7/06. I was told to go to the local hospital for pre-op on 9/5/06. I received a call from an endocronology group that my appointment was with them.

What does endocronology have to do with the tumor removal?
