Late first period after abortion 6 weeks ago

About 6 weeks ago i had an abortion by the vacuum option. I was told that there would be bleeding for 2 weeks after he abortion, but my bleeding was on and off and continued into a 3rd week. I went to see my GP but she said everything was fine. It has now been 6 weeks and there are still no signs of my period coming. Could something have gone wrong? Or is this normal after an abortion? PLease help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

That is normal. It can take 6-8 weeks for a period return.
