Hi, my mother is 52 years old and she had operation of breast cancer 4 years ago. After operation of breast cancer she was on the chemotherapy of more than a year and after that she was taking tamoxifen. She was pretty good so far but when she visited her doctor last time he prescribed her letrozole. I would like to know something more about this medication.

Hi, my mother is also taking letrozole since last year. It is medication which is prescribed to women who enter menopause and it lowers level of estrogen which organism produce. It may be taken for longer period and it showed pretty good effects on cancers which are sensitive on estrogen levels in blood.
