Can anyone talk to me about problems with lack of inhibitions while taking Lexapro? A very good friend of mine has totaly ruined her marraige because of unconcern for costs of fooling around, and it started a couple months after being placed on Lexapro.

I took celexa for 6 years . It is also an antidepressant like lexapro. I felt like a character on Saturday night live or Jim Carrey going wild. I discovered that if you're bipolar, antidepressants have this mania high effect on you. I was taken off of celexa by the VA and put on depakote to see if I'm bipolar. I still don't know if I'm bipolar but I know that the antidepressant celexa caused me anxiety, stress, and made me loose my inhibitions. I believe the Depakote almost completely took away my social anxiety and stress. I do feel like I could use a little antidepressant but I don't risk it. Hope this helps
