Light bleeding 1 wk before cycle; could I be pregnant?

Aug 31 was the first day of my last normal cycle and on July 16 I started to spot.. then light bleeding not enough to fill a pad but I did change pads even though they werent full.

The light bleeding lasted from 16 to 24; I want to know could I be pregnant & when should I take my home pregnancy test?
