| I am 27 years old and have a 19 month old son. My regular menstrual flow (when not on BC) has always been about 8 days long. The first 4 days are usually very heavy, bright red, with a lot of cramps, bloating, etc. Then the last 4 days get lighter and darker. For the last three months or so my period has been about 4 days long, with only the first day and a half being normal to heavy with some cramps. Should I be concerned? We want to have more children, but could my fertility be an issue with these lighter periods? Could I be getting ready for early menopause (my mother went through it at age 34)? What could be the issue? |
