When taking liquid paraffin for constipation, should it
be taken after food, or on an empty stomach ?

the directions on my bottle say you can take up to three tablespoonfulls before bed in the evening.

I take 1 two hours after lunch and 2 before bedtime to help keep the stool soft while my abscess surgery site is healing.

Thank you, Buttgirl.

I tried two teaspoons just about half an hour
before dinner last night and it aggravated
my gastritis though.

it irritates my tummy when I take it on an empty stomach. i think that might be why the directions say to take it before bed.

Thanks again.

But I thought our tummies would be quite empty
by bedtime ? Wouldn't the paraffin irritate it then ?
