Posted: 01/29/07 - 13:12 Post subject: Little to no vaginal discharge is a problem for me.
In January 04 my doctor performed what I consider an unnecessary cryosurgery on my cervix. I consider it unnecessary because all prior paps came back normal. He thought that I was producing excessive cervical mucus and decided I should have this procedure done. I did not know my options, as I should have gotten a second opinion. Anyway to make a long story short. The procedure was performed and I am terribly unhappy with the results because there is very little to no vaginal discharge, which I find helpful and delightful in sexual fantancy as well as actual intercourse. A new doctor put me on an estrogen cream but it does little more that provide some watery wetness.
The problems I encounter with telling people how distressing this situation is is that they don't understand what the problem is. They don't think this is a big deal. But for me it's everything. I want to know if anybody else has experienced cryotherapy with these results and if so, how do you feel about it.
