I have always had very long periods (7 days +). For the past 3 months I have been having low back pain and now after my last period that lasted 8 days, I have been spotting (bright red) for the past 4 days. I do not take any birth control, I am not sexually active, I am 39 years old and I have one child (4 ears old). I had an abortion performed 2 years ago.
Is this a symptom of something serious?
