I have been taking adderall, daily for about 5 years. I am just wondering if taking adderall for a long period of time will weaken your heart, or cause something else. Are there any long term effects of Adderal?
We had our son on Adderall for over a year. It was helping him and he was doing great in school. Then we noticed his hands and feet started to turn purple and very cold. We took him to his doctor and they said take him to Children’s Hospital. They told us there it was from the Adderall. The doctor said it can constrict the blood vessels where they can go into spasms and he wasn’t getting oxygen to her hands and feet. He had to be put on blood pressure medication to help the circulation. We don’t know if this will leave long term effects on him.
