. Hello,

I remember posting that when I got a tetanus shot and a hepatitus shot, my stomach went CRAZY. I remember a lady saying if you are alergic to yeast, then you shouldn't take the shot. I didn't really think much of it, but that had a horrilbe reaction on me.

I was reading about a person posting talking about the "Leaky Gut Syndrome" then I was reading about yeast infections and candida. I read in another post on another site, about a person who got tested for parasites, ibs and some other things, but everything came back negative. He did the cadida test and he had fungus in his intestines. I was reading on a site and it states that some causes can come from alchol, sugar, antibiotics and a poor diet. Here is a site I found, although there are many symptoms and the only problem I have are these Stomach Noises. Here is the site **** You can also do research on candida and see if this may be your problem.

I can't wait to get working again, so that my insurance can kick in and so that I can go and get tested for candida.

I have been taking Paragone, Milk Thistle, Probiotics and Metamucil fiber pills and they seemed to help, but these last couple of days have not been good on the stomach. AHHHH this is such a problem, I feel like getting an intestine transplant or something.

Sorry if you see my posts in other locations, but I'm just trying to spread the little info I am learning to as many people as I can.

**** I think we should all go into one forum though, it would make it a lot easier, just my two cents.

Well best of luck to everyone and I'll start running again, as I was too tired to run last night. Running use to help, so I hope it starts to help me now. Take care everyone.

Hello everyone,

I have been quite a bit of research on Candida, which may be known as Candida yeast infection or intestinal yeast infection. I was reading about some of the causes of this infection. It talks about people who drink too much alcohol, consume too much sugar, take too many antibiotics, pregnancy, poor diet, not excercising and others. I have a bunch of sites I saved, but I am not able to post them on here. I will try to post the site, but I will not add the www. or the .com if it's needed at the end. There is lots of info on the internet, just google search Candida and read more into it. Here goes some of the sites, I hope they come out

fungusfocus.com/html/caprylic_acid.htm

becomehealthynow.com/article/conditionwomen/416/

holisticnetworkexchange.com/articles/Article/13.html

This one has the HTTP in front en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candidiasis

This one has the HTTP in front candidapage.com/

I remember one guy who came on here and he said that he drank quite a bit in college and that after he graduated he started to get these noises. I also remember one guy saying that he use to eat nothing but fast food and that these noises started up after that. Some people who take antibiotics also get affected.

Today I took a couple more pills of Probiotics and I have to say my stomach felt better. I took Acidophilus, which is a Probiotic from Natrol. When I usually burp before taking the pills my stomach would gurgle quite a bit, but after taking 2 pills at one time, it felt a lot better.

I was reading online about certain vitamins that can kill fungus, which grows from the yeast in our intestines. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and I bought some more pills. I bought another bottle of Natrol Acidophilus Probiotic, which cost $6.39 for a bottle of 100 capsules. I bought a bottle of Psyllium Husks Fiber from Solgar for $14.95 for 200 Capsules. I also bought a bottle of Caprylic Acid from Vitamin Shoppe for $5.99 for 100 Capsules. I bought a bottle of Flax Seed Oil from Natrol for $8.79 for 90 softgels. I was looking for Bentonite and I found this Liquid bottle that is 32 oz. It's called Sonne's #7 which cost $13.99. I bought all these items for like $50, which I think is a great deal.

I was reading about how good Caprulic Acid for Intestinal fungus. I was reading about how Mucus, comes out in the stool and all this other good info. I thought I had Parasites, but I'm not too sure. I'm going to continue take the Paragone, but I will start taking all these other medications. I will probably wait on the Bentonite, because that looks pretty weird. I hope this is the problem and I hope this is the problem for some of you.

One other posted that our problems are probably caused by Parasites, Leaky Gut Syndrome and something else, that I can't remember. I think this may be my problem and I will keep you guys posted. Good Luck to everyone.

Hi Everyone,

I am a fellow stomach growler. I am 26 and have been dealing with this for 12 years or so. After reading everyones stories it makes me feel normal and I am lucky because i only have a growling stomach and not any of the other conditions people have mentioned.

I managed to get through high school by being in denial I suppose. But I dropped out of college because of it and stopped going to movie theaters and walked out on a couple good jobs because i knew i couldnt make it through a meeting or training. I was forced to find outdoor jobs that paid alot less. I became very depressed and suicidal.

I sold everything I had and went to mexico to never return, when my money started running out I tried to slice my wrist in my hotel bathroom, but the plan failed. Later I got an email from my dad about a job overseas, so I managed my way back to the states. I got hired to work on a military base in Kuwait, out in the sand, making 85k a year. After 2 years of that I started a business with a kuwaiti business man and for 2 years I ran my own business. I have travelled to over 15 countries now, had amazing adventures and lived a life I never dreamed of.

I want everyone to know that you can find a way to manage your life around this condition. I deal with it everyday and it affects alot of the decisions I make. Because of this thread I just went and bought some Culturelle and I will post my results after some time.

If anybody needs someone to talk to about this condition and how to deal with it please feel free to email me. mikejohnson2690@yahoo.com

Man, my stomach is absolutely ridiculous and it is ruining my social life. I DREAD going on dates. Uh! It is so embarrassing when me and my guy are cuddled up nicely having one of those moments and all of a sudden "GURGLE! BLUUUURP! GLOOSH!" -Followed by a moment of ackward silence and side glances, and then "uhhh, you hungry babe?" Shocked . I can't take it anymore! It's soooo unfeminine!!! I won't even mention all the embarrassing moments I've had since starting college : ( This morning my friend said she heard my stomach all the way down the hall. We had a good laugh but in the end its not funny at all. I feel better now knowing that some of you are dealing with the same madness, but that won't help much the next time I'm in class or on a date or in church and my stomach goes to showing off. It's sad really, my stomach talks more than I do. HELP!!!

I know what you guys are going through; this problem is extremely annoying. I've been to the doctor many times and all he does is stare at me like I'm crazy. MYLANTA has actually helped me a lot, please try it--I assure you it will work most of time. Try to drink some hot tea. Also try to avoid focusing on your stomach while in quiet rooms; tell yourself that nothing will happen and if your stomach growls ignore it and continue with your life. This will sometimes help. A technique that works for me is focusing on the AC; the AC actually creates a loud enough noise to block others from hearing some of your stomach's growls. The downside of this is a classroom that doesn't have it on. Lastly, go to the bathroom when you feel the urge to do so, DON"T HOLD IT IN--this causes your stomach to growl even more. These three things haven't completely healed me of this issue, but they have helped me deal with it. Good Luck.

Wow. You have no idea how happy (?) I am to find this post. I thought I was alone in my situation! I can totally relate with all of you guys! There were so many posts that I read and it was like I was reading a story from myself that I didn't know I posted! Seriously! And the female-guest above me: LOL I totally understand what you mean by hating dates. I don't date, mainly because of it. I was on a date once and it was all quiet as we stood in the girls kitchen, and she was telling me this funny story and as soon as she finished I was like "That's funny. Where's the bathroom?" because my stomach was going to growl REALLY loud from gas or something. It's horrible!

What causes this condition!? I mean, I know stress and maybe something bad in your diet does, but what brings it about in the first place? My story goes like this:

I served as a missionary for my church for two years in South Korea. Never before in my entire life did I have anything like this. Before going to Korea I went to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah. There I had to learn the basics of Korean and how to teach the gospel in Korean. As practice, we would teach to strangers who volunteered to listen. These teaching episodes really stressed me out, and I began to notice that my bowels/stomach were reacting to the increase of stress.

When I finally got to Korea and in the "real world," lessons with people were next to unbearable. Even though I couldn't speak Korean and thus, didn't have much responsibility or have to contribute much in the lesson, I was still stressed out. I remember this one lesson (by lesson I mean meeting with someone who is interested in learning more about the church and talking about it) I was in and out of the bathroom five times. Luckily, as a missionary, you have a "companion" who you live with/teach with/travel with, etc. who could keep teaching as I was on the can.

The condition began to get worse and worse. I wasn't really scared that it would happen, but it was definitely uncomfortable and it did happen a lot. I became scared of it happening later on... I was at a large meeting with other missionaries listening to some speakers after we had a big lunch. I was really stressed that I might get called to get up and say something in front of them. I felt pressure in my stomach start to build, and then subside, then come back bigger, then subside. Finally it got so big and growled LOUD and LONG!!! It was the worst I'd ever experienced in my life!! People in the front row looked around (some laughed) and everyone around me gazed at me. I played it cool, and a minute later slipped out to the bathroom, but I was soooo mortified. I asked a friend who was sitting a few people away from me if he'd heard it. Not only did he hear it, but he felt the bench shake. He said he "thought it was an elephant dying." LOL!! I can laugh now, but then it was horrible! I think that was the pinnacle moment when the whole thing became a phobia.

So now, here I am in college and I've missed quite a few classes because of the fear of this happening in class. It's really sad, really sad. I've seen the doctor and had blood tests (this isn't a parasite from overseas he says) and I've changed my diet quite a bit, but still, it'll happen here and there. The second most tramatic experience was I was at the theatre and there was a really pretty girl from one of my classes. I said hi, we started talking, i sat beside her for the show and sure enough, I was sooooooo scared that my stomach would make noises (it was a small quiet, dinner theatre) finally it did, and it was really loud. She looked and me and kinda chuckled, but I was so embarassed. Everyone else would have heard it too because it was so small and so quiet.

One last thing: I can ~feel~ it in my stomach sometimes, like when it gurgles, I can feel it bubbling on my left side. I wonder if that fact might help diagnose it.

I had/have the same thing. It's been going on since I was about 14 but really increased around my 17th Birthday. I remember being at practice for our play and a instructor was talking and my stomach growled so loud and everyone turned and looked at my lower stomach (bowel) and I was like "that's my stomach" and I almost died! Ever since then I have this phobia of quiet places. I kept thinking, what is wrong, how will I fix this. Well a week ago I started Culturella and I don't eat anything with Lactose in it...no milk, no cheese, no yogurt, no chocolate, no icecream, yes it sucks but my intestinal growling has decreased a lot. I still have tiny almost inaudiable noises and it's only been a week. Still I am super happy, and hope to keep this diet up. I also take 5 fiber capsules and drink insure, I don't know if this helps, but it seems to for me.

Thanks for all the help guys, and I hope I helped you!

im 16 going into my junior year.. I have this stomach/school/quiet place phobia.. I think it started like this.. one day in 9th grade near the end of the year i was in my 9th period class taking a test all of a sudden i got this HUGE stomach noise .. i was so confused i wasnt hungry and i didnt feel sick or anything and i got so scared i told the teacher i didnt feel good and left i just cryed and told my best friend who said she got it once.. and i was thinking oh okay its a one time thing. then like the next day i got it again in my 7th and 8th period classes so i just assumed i was sick or something luckily the people around me even said they didnt hear and that i must just be hungry.. anyway when i started 10th grade i got these noises a lot during the month of october in the beginning of the year.. the first time i got them was in my math class 8th period. I read on the internet that a phobia creates when a tramatizing event happens. Thats what happened to me. I got these noises in my stomach and someone looked at me and ever since then i couldnt live down that embaressment.. so everytime i stepped in this classroom every second i said to myself sitting there oh my god please stomach pleasse dont make noises.. sometimes i got lucky most times i didnt.. i loved the days we would work with partners because no one would hear over all the talking.. my problem started getting bigger because my phobia was mostly in this class but once i started worrying about it happeneing in other classes it did start happening in other classes.. This is when i told my mom about my problem.. i missed a lot of school total with all 9 classes included i missed 194 classes this year. Its really bad. Thinking about all my classroom experiences makes me wanna cry so bad. Now im in summer enjoying every minute but now that its august all i think about is school. I too also thought about quitting school of course with my parents in the question its no option they have begun to think im letting this all get to my head way to much and im just crazy. Its ruined my life a lot because im a very very good student and could be better if i didnt ruin a whole school year worrying and running out of classes faking being sick cutting classes hiding out in bathrooms so no one would find me staying home. I didnt apply myself once this year.. i also started to ask my teachers if i could take tests outside the classroom.. made me happy but i still dreaded sitting in the classroom during lectures everyone paying attention and then me coughing and tapping drawing pictures trying to distract myself and make noises to cover up.. Im sick of worrying i want to be like everyone else and relax. I start to think now and i think to myself how am i going to go through another 2 more years of highschool like this im gonna die of a heart attack of stressing myself so much i tried relaxing and trust me sometimes i would be completely relaxed but it still happened i get these HUGE stomach noises i know epople can hear. i cant give you any help sorry because im too trying to find help i found this post through a google search of help for myself..i just wanted to let you know.. your really not alone too bad we didnt have to go through this.

I am losing my sanity with this.
I have the exact same problem..I'm afraid of quiet places now and even school. I too have feigned being sick and all..My stomach was in the worst pain on the upper left. I was taken to the hospital in emergency and they said there was too much stomach acid in my stomach. I was prescribed Protnix [Pantoprazole sodium] for one month. Eventually, my stomach pain was no more. But now I have a problem with these loud growling noises. It's so loud. Coming from the same upper left. After I eat, these loud growling noises just come..it's so embarassing to be in a quiet place. I've told my parents..but they clearly do NOT understand. I've cried so much because they don't care about how I feel. I asked them to take me to a new doctor or a specialist but they seem to refuse.

I have an AP exam tomorrow and I'm afraid I might not even leave my house..the quiet, in that room. I can't take it if I have to lsiten to the loud stomach growling. It really doesn't sound normal. Not normal at all.

I considered dropping out of school a few times because of this problem. I can't take it anymore. And my mother gives me this stupid attitude, like it's no big deal but she doens't understand how much it's affected me. As we speak, my stomach is growling really loud. It has been since yesterday and I really cannot take it anymore. I need an answer. I need to find out what it is. I just want it to go away. I want to stop crying and actually be able to eat again without having fear in being in quiet places or being around people. Please, PLEASE e-mail me if you do have a suggestion or have same problem. hyde_spyke@yahoo.com I can't go on like this anymore and all the stress and emotional feelings seem to make my stomach growl even more.

my tummy fills with air, just tons of air, not from drinking or anything but after my stomach growls for like 30 minutes, the air just comes straight out (you know were, but it's not like gas from food, it's just air) sooo, weird

and my tummy bloats up while it's growling (from the air of course.

does anyone get bloated like that when their tummy growls ( and mine is from hunger alone) only when I'm starving does it do this, but none of my friends stomachs do that...

anyone?
