hey JadePanda, you described word for word how I feel all the time!! I always worry about my tummy growling...always. It started in 8th grade or maybe even before then during a test and my stomach started to growl so loud...things got worse in high school when we were in a huge discussion circle and I got nervous about doing a presentation and it was such a loud growl and everyone heard and laughed. And just like you I'm always hoping that the class will be working in partners that day so it'll be louder in class. And I have to gone to my teachers and asked if I could take tests in the teacher's lounge room, that helped for a while.
The worst classes are math and english since they're always so quite! And my stomach only starts growling when I start thinking about it, then it builds up and it gets worse and worse. I try to make ruffling noises with my jacket and cough to help, but it hardly does. I started taking rolaids and those helped quite a bit for a year now or so. Milk always makes my stomach growl even more, but more than anything I just need to train myself not to think about it. I'm a senior this year and I'm going to college next year and to help soothe my anxiety for this problem, I'm going to take a few online courses at home.
i was in my spanish class and taking at the back taking an exam when it went off... it lasted for a good 3 seconds. haha.. anyways everyone looked at me it was so embarsing. i was sitting in the very back row and even the teacher in the front heard it. he said "someone needs food"
anyway i went to a doctor and he prescribed me Protonix and Simethicone (Gas-X). I will let you guys know how it goes.
