I’ve been told to be on low phosphorusdiet. Can anyone tell me what foods contain phosphorus? I am totally ignorant about this. I need help! Thank you in advance.
“Unfortunately” almost all foods contain some phosphorus, but by limiting or avoiding certain foods, you can significantly decrease your phosphorus intake. Here are the foods high in phosphorus: milk and milk products, whole grains, meats, including poultry and fish, some food additives, especially those in baked goods and colas. If you're have to be on a low-phosphorus diet, ask your doctor if you need to take a calcium supplement and how much and what type of calcium supplement you should take.
