Hi! If you have low heartrate, you have bradycardia. You probably will have EKG. If bradycardia is not present at the time you are having an EKG, then you may need a portable electrocardiogram, which is also called Holter monitoring or cardiac event monitoring. During this test, you wear a lightweight device that can record an EKG constantly while you do your usual activities or only when you turn on the device. If you think you might have bradycardia, check your pulse. If you notice that your heartbeat is slow or does not have a regular rhythm, talk to your doctor. He will determine the cause of bradycardia. Treatment of bradycardia depends of cause.
