HI. I’m 37 year old female in good overall shape. I’m also a mother of 3 children. As I said, my overall shape is good but my lower abdominals do not change no matter what I do. I’ve even consulted a doctor and he said my abdominal wall is very strong. I’ve heard somewhere that it could be genetics and that I won’t be able to do anything about it but I don’t know if that is my case.. Is there a way to I get my lower abs. smaller and firmer? Please, help me!!!

On lower abdominals you have so called tendonous tissue that can become stronger, but without changing shape. That is why many say that it is of a genetic nature and that you can’t do much about it. Unfortunately, in many cases that is the correct diagnose. However, I don’t know if this is the problem in your case. So, if it isn’t, what can you do? Increase your distance or duration of cardiovascular exercise. That is the only exercise that can help you. If you see no results, than it is probably genetic and it is hard to believe you’ll be able to do anything about it.
