Lump in throat

I have had the feeling of a lump being in my throat. I am 18 years old and I do not smoke nor have i ever. My mom does though but i dont think second hand smoke would be the cause of throat cancer. Even if it was i dont think i have throat cancer. Anyway, the feeling is pretty persistent, the only time i dont feel it is like, when I wake up and 30 minutes after and when i eat or drink something. It has only been there for like 3 days so it is nothing to worry about probably but i just dont know what it is... When ever i look something up about it on the internet i get forums like these and there are no real solutions or anything on them. It could be from stress because i dont have a weekend because of work. But other than that i dont really know. Any help would be much appreciated.
