During last four weeks, I have gotten my period three times. Since I have been diagnosed with lupus two years ago I thing this must be related to this disease. I am using the same medications I used all this time, only lower doses. I would like to know if anyone had any idea what is going on with me. Did any woman have something like this and maybe can share her experience with me.

I am diagnosed with lupus too, but mine periods stop coming most of the time. Even when they do come, they are very light, not like they used to be. In addition, it is going on my nerves that I never know when to expect it. I really cannot tell you, because I am not sure if it is lupus related. My doctor said I was going through the change. I cannot stop myself and I have to think it has something to do with the lupus. Otherwise, why would someone at 36 start going through the change, I know very well when menopause occur. My doctor recommended me to take hormone supplements for this. Added to all the other meds I take this looks crazy. Yet it has not help me with my period situation, but it helps with the hot flashes and mood swings.

| I too have been diagnosed with lupus. I had been on the pill for 12yrs and my periods stop coming altogether, so I went off the pill. Then my periods slowly started coming back, each month heavier, so I went back on the pill which didn't help so the Dr changed it which didn't help either. I have been bleeding for 3 whole months with only about 2 weeks relief from them. |
