In some countries, the MRSA superbug has become more resistant but it has also started spreading and appearing in countries that it wasn’t so common like Scandinavian countries and The Netherlands.

Many countries around the world are unable to fight the bacterium that went out of control already and health experts fear that it would mutate and become stronger and more virulent.

Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus has been accused of death of people who were cured of their illnesses but died by contracting the bacterium. The bacterium is not reacting to the most common antibiotics and easily spreads the infection all over the body.

Although the Governments are doing their best to clean the hospitals from bacteria, it has been estimated that MRSA and Clostridium difficile kill up to 5000 patients per year in UK.

Statistics from the WHO report that between two and fifty-two million people could be infected with MRSA.
There is a fear that bacterium would spread quickly and widely and cause an explosion.

Health care authorities are being called upon to introduce surveillance systems to watch for the bacterial spread over the geographical areas as well as to find ways to recognize patients who are infected with the so called “superbug”.
